As the mother of three children I know just how precious family is and unfortunately, I know all too well just how quickly children grow up. That being said, it means the world to me to be able to photograph you & your family and to be able to capture each individual’s spirit in this fleeting moment of life & childhood. For me, it is about documenting a small piece of precious time & memories and celebrating who you are. I want you to have a photograph of you, your children or your family that, 50 years from now, will bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart.
Clients ask me what to expect at their session and I tell them to expect fun and laughter and a bit of zaniness first and a photo session second. I tell them that I will make sure that this is a positive experience for both them and their child and that, if I have done my job correctly, your child will walk away with a smile, not because we said, “say cheese” but because they are happy and they have had fun.

How do I describe my style?
I’m not your “traditional” pose-and-smile photographer. I like bold colors, bare feet, and hair in the wind … I never force smiles and no one is allowed to say “cheese”! I simply capture moments as they happen, the happy, the sad and the crazy! My aim is to personalise your photo shoot to suit you, your mood & your location and to change your perception of “photo day” from being a chore to a most enjoyable & memorable experience.
My portraits are fun and relaxed with an emphasis on lifestyle. I love to capture people as they are – their personalities, their passions, their quirks and shooting connections and interactions between loved ones & friends. Don’t worry about putting on your Sunday best, matching outfits or getting your hair just perfect. I’m here to capture who you really are, so just be yourself.
I delight in capturing Kids simply being kids – to capture a child’s spirit and create a piece of art with it. As a photographer, I have the ability to freeze those moments in time, to capture the world in a way that brings back memories so easily forgotten and floods them with emotions, and tenderness remembering every little worthy detail that graces the walls of your home and your heart.
I prefer to shoot on location using natural available light. Most of my sessions take place outdoors in the early morning, late afternoon or early evening when the sun is low & much softer. For indoor sessions we will make use of the light from windows and perhaps even the flash if absolutely necessary so a well lit place with lots of light is ideal.
When describing my photography style, a few words that come to mind are … fresh . fun . fabulous . edgy & creative. I think you will see each of these in some shape or form, represented in my work… but I am in no way limited by them. I like to push the envelope with creativity. My goal is to not only deliver photos to you that are distinct, one of a kind, works of art but also creating photos that are uniquely YOU … that is what I love to do!
That being said, I think it makes sense to work with those that are likeminded. If you are searching for a photographer that has a more posed or traditional look to his or her photos and is more predictable, then I’m not the photographer for you.

I consider myself blessed to have been married 17+ years and have a wonderful, supportive man by my side. He is my #1 fan and greatest source of encouragement. I have three completely beautiful, talented yet loopy kids. They make me laugh, they make me cry, they make me crazy and they make my heart sing – they truly are my gift from God! You will notice them featured a lot in my art. My family, faith and friends are my inspiration.
I’m a photographer, digital artist and freelance web designer and I love what I do. I live by a simple belief that “if God, being the most creative being in the Universe, created us in His image then all of that creativity is already contained inside of us. I am passionate about exploring that creativity and helping others to discover it too.”
I am a perfectionist when it comes to my work and have only the highest expectations for what I deliver to my clients. I work with digital cameras and use good equipment to ensure high quality photographs for you. I am always endeavouring to learn more and try new things.
Other than being with my family and friends I am most at home and the happiest when taking photographs & being creative. Each image captured freezes a little sliver of time and can carry memories to generations to come.
